Pengpeng holds a Ph.D from Fudan University Law School and is currently a post-doctoral researcher at China Venture Capital Research Center of Fudan University, focusing on the policy and law on venture capital in China.
Pengpeng also works as a partner of Haihua Yongtai Law Firm, a leading law firm in Shanghai, especially in legal services relating to corporate finance and foreign investment. He advises both local and international VC/PE investors about fund formation and their investment in China. He also helps entrepreneurs with their financing or technology licensing.
Pengpeng published around 30 papers in various topics, such as the government regulation on foreign VC/PE funds in China, the protection of intellectual property, the Chinese legislations on VC/PE industry, etc.
Pengpeng once worked part-time for China Venture Capital Research Institute (CVCRI) in 2009-2010 as a senior researcher. During that period, he headed a research project on restructuring the electrical applicances industry in Wenzhou, the most wealthy area in China with the largest number of private enterprises.
As a researcher and practitioner in VC/PE law, Pengpeng is elected as a commissioner to Investment Funds Research Commission of Shanghai Bar Association. At the same time, he is also a researcher of the Financial Law Research Center of Shanghai Finance University.
