Mr. Butler has 25 years of experience within the pharmaceutical, contract research (CRO) and consulting industries, having previously worked for Roche, LabCorp, Magellan Laboratories, Cardinal Health, PharmaDirections and Tunnell Consulting. In his most recent role, he was Director of Business Development where he worked extensively with entrepreneurs, universities, and investors as he led several investment programs for the North Carolina Biotechnology Center in Research Triangle Park, NC.
Mr. Butler has managed CRO and/or consulting projects for more than 200 companies, including the top 50 pharmaceutical companies in the world. He has coached, mentored, advised or invested in more than 100 entrepreneurial early-stage lifescience companies.
Yonnie received his undergraduate degree from East Carolina University in Biology and holds an MBA from Elon University. Mr. Butler is also an alumnus of the Center for Creative Leadership, and is completing his certificate in Non-Profit Management through Duke University.
