Greg Engleman

Chief Technical Officer
MesoCoat

Greg has specialized in high energy density coating and cladding fusion processes and is currently leading the team at MesoCoat, Inc. (Euclid, OH) in the development of monolithic and cermet composite, metallurgically bonded, thick (>3 mm) cladding applications. Mr. Engleman has more than 10 years experience developing cladding application and fusion parameters. He spent 9 years at Oak Ridge National Laboratory helping in the development of high energy density cladding processes including methods such as laser and high-density infrared processing. His other experience includes research into brazing and joining of difficult to join materials, and development of a process for depositing and fusing iron-based, nano-structured coatings for enhancing the wear resistance of disc cutters for tunnel boring applications. Mr. Engleman has received an R&D 100 award for the “Development of an Advanced Heating System for High-Performance Aluminum Forgings,” and a Nortech 2010 Innovation Award for “PComP™ Nano-engineered Cermets.”
