The Technology and Life Sciences Division provides credit and financial services and products to early-stage, growing, institutional-backed technology and life sciences companies, as well as their more mature counterparts. Whiting’s responsibilities include assisting existing and new clients with debt structuring, treasury management and/or International banking needs.
Prior to joining Comerica in 2003, he was the European Vice President of Operations with the Dallas-based Software Company, Global360, Inc. While with Global360 in Europe, he assisted with the integration of two acquisitions from Avaya and Kodak. In addition to the day-to-day accounting, banking and human resources activities, he was specifically responsible for the streamlining of order processing, negotiating new customer maintenance and partner/reseller agreements and implementing new pricing.
Prior to working with Global360, he spent 8 years with Imperial Bank and Comerica Bank in Austin, Texas assisting early-stage venture capital-backed companies with debt structuring. Whiting is a licensed CPA in Texas and he received his BBA in Finance and Accounting from Texas A&M University. He resides in Dallas, Texas with his wife and two children ages 11 and 9.
